Outdoor Skills

 

This year Y6 Leopards are taking part in an onsite Outdoor Skills project on Friday afternoons.

Mr Clements, a qualified Forest School Practitioner, works with groups of four children on a range of outdoor activities to promote teambuilding and boost confidence, featuring bushcraft elements such as safe working with tools and fire. It's a great way to build our camaraderie and to get ready for our Y6 Skern residential. Working outdoors benefits emotional wellbeing for children and adults alike.

Each group takes part in four sessions. Outdoor Skills will run throughout our very changeable seasons - whatever the weather! Children are encouraged to check the forecast and to make sure they independently organise the clothing needed to take part in the session safely.
