Eastlands Primary School

Eastlands Primary School Pupil Leadership -  Anti-Bullying Ambassadors

At Eastlands Primary, we are proud to participate in the Diana Anti-Bullying Programme. This initiative involves training KS2 children who volunteer,  to become Anti-Bullying Ambassadors. These ambassadors help create a safe and friendly school environment. They are trained to support their peers and promote kindness and inclusion among all students. This program empowers our children to take action against bullying behaviour and supports a culture of respect and understanding at our school.

12th November

Today, our ABA's led the whole school assembly!  They talked to everyone about bullying behaviour and shared what anyone who feels they are being bullied, or if someone is being unkind should do.  They spoke with confidence and pride.  They also organised odd socks day!  It was great to see so many of our school community taking part, including the adults.  We are very proud of you all.

4th November

Today the team met to talk about our Anti - Bullying Day assembly. Miss Evans and the ABA's will be leading the assembly to the whole school.  It will also be odd socks day!  The ABA's will be meeting in the playground each lunchtime to practise.

Across school, each class will be learning more about bullying behaviour, supportive networks and kindness in PSHE with Mrs Vikmanis and the ABA's will be supporting with this in their classes. They are going to be very busy!

26th October - Coming soon!

Our ABA team will be leading our assembly.

16th October

Today, our ABA's met with Miss Evans and Mrs Vikmanis to announce who are deputy lead ABA is.  We had two applications that we could not choose from so now we have a Deputy Lead and an Assistant Lead!  Photograph coming soon.  We have a few more new members which is great and we are complete.

We discussed our Anti Bullying Day in school on November 12th.  We will promote this by taking part in Odd Socks Day to  celebrate our differences and express our individuality. We also talked about our assembly and we will practise that when we return after half term. Keep doing what you are doing to keep everyone feeling safe and happy.

18th September

Today, our Antibullying team met with Miss Evans and Mrs Vikmanis.  Last years successful team have asked to be part of the 2025/2026 team which is great. We have new team members too!  Everyone is keen and ready so as soon as the rota is ready our ABA's will be on the playground at break and lunchtime.  You can spot who they are as they wear their florescent orange high viz jackets.

Our first campaign will be Odd Socks Day on Anti-bullying Day, date to be confirmed.   It’s a fun day where the whole school can express themselves by wearing mismatched socks. There’s no need to buy anything special; just choose any two socks from your drawer. It’s all about celebrating what makes us unique! We can't wait to see all the creative combinations!
